Ten Years Downtown

On Thursday, November 5, 2026, the City of Austin marks League of Rebels Day — ten years of the tailoring brand in downtown Austin. The story behind the proclamation, and your invitation to the 4:00–7:00 p.m. evening celebration at 610 Guadalupe.

Some dates on the calendar are just dates. November 5 is not one of them.

On Thursday, November 5, 2026, the City of Austin will mark League of Rebels Day — a mayoral proclamation honoring ten years of League of Rebels in downtown Austin. For a tailoring brand that began in Texas in 2009 and put down roots downtown in 2016, it is a moment we have been building towards, one fitting, one customer and one season at a time. This is the story of how we got here, and how you can be part of the day itself.

A Texas beginning, an Austin home

League of Rebels was founded in Texas in 2009, long before there was a downtown Austin address to put on the door. What there was, from the start, was a conviction: that a man should be able to walk into one place and be dressed properly for every part of his life — the boardroom and the wedding, the first interview and the fiftieth birthday — by people who know his name, his measurements and how he lives.

In 2016 we brought that conviction downtown. Austin was changing quickly even then, and downtown was where the city came to do business, to celebrate and to be seen. Ten years on, it still is. Our flagship at 610 Guadalupe Street is now our long-term home in the heart of the city — the address where the fittings happen, where the conversations happen, and where, on November 5, the celebration will happen too.

Built one fitting at a time

We have only ever sold directly to our customers. There are no wholesale shelves and no middlemen between the cloth and the man who wears it — every garment begins with a conversation in the store. That choice is slower, and we have always believed it is better. It means the relationship does not end at the till; it begins there.

A decade downtown is not really measured in years. It is measured in grooms dressed on the morning of their weddings, in founders fitted before the pitch that changed their companies, in fathers bringing their sons in for a first proper jacket, and in the regulars who stop by simply because Guadalupe Street is on their way. If you are one of them, League of Rebels Day belongs to you as much as it belongs to us.

“A decade downtown is not measured in years. It is measured in the men who walked in as customers and stayed as friends.”

The city makes it official

Earlier this fall, the City of Austin issued a mayoral proclamation declaring November 5, 2026 League of Rebels Day. On the day itself, Mayor Watson will host the proclamation presentation in the Mayor’s conference room at City Hall at 12:30 p.m., during the council break — a formal honor for a small, independent Texas brand, and one we do not take lightly.

A proclamation is, on paper, a single page. In practice it says something larger: that independent businesses built patiently, on a single street, over a long stretch of years, are part of what makes a city itself. We are proud to stand in that tradition in Austin, and grateful to the Mayor, the Council and everyone at the City who made the day possible.

Join us on November 5

The celebration returns home in the evening. From 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., the doors at 610 Guadalupe Street will be open for an evening celebration — a ribbon cutting and happy hour, an evening to raise a glass to ten years downtown, see the store dressed for the occasion, and be among the first to hear what the next chapter holds.

Downstairs, Clubroom — the hospitality extension of League of Rebels — will be at the heart of the evening, as it is every day: coffee, cocktails and a place for this community to gather. Come as you are, or come dressed for it. It is, after all, a house that believes in dressing well.

The next ten years

Ten years downtown is a milestone, not a finish line. The flagship is our home for the long term, the craft is the same as it was in 2009, and the ambition is simple: to be dressing Austin — and the men who arrive here from everywhere else — for decades yet. The next chapter of League of Rebels will be written the way the first one was, in the fitting room, with our customers in the room.

So consider this your invitation. Join us at City Hall at midday if you can, and at 610 Guadalupe from four o’clock for the evening celebration. Bring a friend, bring a story from the last ten years, and let us say thank you properly — in person, and well dressed.

Ten years downtown.

Thank you, Austin.
